How can I make more money from my website?

I recently received an email from a business owner who had his website designed by another company. He said he loved his new website, he didn't want to change anything on it but he wanted it to be more visible so he could start making money from it. Since this client was in the tourism industry, I suggested a few strategies he could try:

  1. Online Research: First you need to understand your online reputation. When you search for your company name, on the first 10 positions of Google, are you satisfied with what Users are seeing? If you see anything that gives your company a bad reputation, it would suit your requirement to request for removal.
  2. Online Competition: Second you need to understand your online competition. When you search for your services in Grand Cayman, who comes up first, second, third and up to the 10th position. When you know what websites are in front of you, study them and try to find out what they have that your website does not. Try to incorporate elements in your website that you think is important for your users to know.
  3. Online Visibility: Third, your website is just one part of your entire online presence. A big part of your online presence is your social media. Make sure you have a social media component that reflects your business in its proper light. You don’t need to go overboard, just focus on a few and be grow from there.
  4. Content Writing: No one knows your business as well as you do so it would suit your website to have content that is well written and very informative. Don’t just write stuff to have content, make sure your Users learn from it. The more informative content you have on your website, the more traffic it will get from Users looking for your services.
