WOWebsites - Why We’re Building Plugins

Looking Ahead to 2026: Why We’re Building Plugins (and What That Means for Our Clients)

This blog outlines how our work evolved from web and SEO into custom WordPress plugins and platforms. By building websites that drive marketing and sales, our clients have grown as a direct result of our work together. That growth led us to develop plugins in 2025, expanding into scalable tools and AI platforms for 2026.

As we head into a new year, I want to take a moment to reflect on how our work has evolved — and more importantly, why.

At our core, we are a Web and SEO company. Always have been. But over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with businesses that started with a simple goal: a website that actually performs. And because of the work we’ve done for them, and with them, many of those businesses have grown faster and further than they expected. When that happens, their needs naturally change.

A website’s job is sales and marketing. A well-built website should be highly visible able and be able to close deals multiple times a day, across different audiences, locations, and intent levels. That’s exactly how we design our web and SEO packages — to do both sales and marketing, simultaneously.

Because of that, many of our business owners have grown faster than competitors. And once a website is doing its job properly, the next bottleneck is rarely traffic or visibility. It’s operations.

WordPress Plugin Development

This is when WP plugins come in.

In 2025, we officially started building WordPress plugins for our clients — not as a side project, but as a natural extension of the work we were already doing. When a business reaches a certain scale, off-the-shelf tools stop being enough. They need custom functionality that fits how they actually run their business.

We’re currently nearing the finish line on a plugin designed to improve operations, streamline workflows, and make it easier for teams to access and manage a booking platform. This isn’t about adding bells and whistles. It’s about efficiency, reliability, and reducing friction for both business owners and their teams.

Looking into 2026, our focus is clear:

We will continue delivering what we’re known for — high-performing web and SEO packages that generate visibility, inquiries, and revenue.

At the same time, we’re expanding our ability to deliver custom plugins and platforms that help businesses run better as they scale.

For businesses that need this level of customization, we handle the entire process end-to-end. That includes functional specifications, vetted senior developers, active project management, delivery, and ongoing maintenance. Depending on scope, plugin delivery typically ranges from three to four months, longer for more complex builds.

One of the biggest advantages of working with us is continuity. Developers don’t disappear after payment. We stay involved long after delivery, and every build comes with accountability. After all, we’ve been in business for 18 years this coming year, 2026. Because we work with experienced remote developers, our costs are also significantly lower than hiring a traditional agency — without compromising quality. Every developer we work with is fully vetted and managed by our Engineer PM.

In addition to WordPress plugins, our team is also working on custom AI systems development or LLM application development — we are building software that uses large language models as a core capability.

Bookings for Plugin Dev and LLM Application Dev now open for 2026

If WordPress plugins or LLM Applications is something your business needs in 2026, we’re opening limited booking slots starting in March. The first two confirmed inquiries will receive a 20% off their project.

As always, our goal is the same: build systems that help businesses grow — not just look good online, but operate better behind the scenes.

Here’s to a productive, focused, and growth-driven 2026.
