To continue with Barney Stintson’s One Rule in Social Media, the lesson today is to write legendary content or die trying!
Its very easy to write and write. I think a lot of people now-a-days are just writing to write – without a goal or objective or even a clear thought. I’ve even read on authoritative blogs that whenever you write, you can’t go wrong. I disagree. If you can’t write then practice and practice and after trying and failing and trying again – try again! Die trying! There is no one else in this world that has the same experience as you, the small business owner, and no one else can put your thoughts in writing and if they can, they are probably out of your price range.
Write Legendary Content!
If you are going to put time and effort into something then I suggest you do a “Legendary” job or don’t do it at all. As I have gotten older, I have realized the most expensive commodity in the world is time. The saying that time is gold is true. It is the one thing in the world that most people want more of and can’t buy. I honestly believe that when you are putting time into writing a blog, please make sure you are writing content that Users are going to read and at the same time are able to learn something, anything. If not then you are wasting your time and (gasp!) your users time.
So you might be asking yourself, how in the world do I write “legendary” content? I think that if you are a real small business owner, you know the answer to that. You know what you know best and you know how to deliver the message more than anyone else in the world. Its just a matter of putting your time and effort into it. Good Luck!
